Configuring Thunderbird for use with your zMailCloud account

Download and install Thunderbird using the directions here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/

 

After installing thunderbird, you may be prompted to obtain a new email address.  Click "Skip this and use my existing email"

Enter your name, zMailCloud email address and password, and click continue.

After clicking "continue", click "Manual config"

For incoming settings, select IMAP

Incoming Settings:

Server hostname: yourcompany.zmailcloud.com*

*If you don't know your custom server hostname, please contact your Domain Administrator, or the help desk.

Port: 993

SSL: SSL/TLS

Authentication: Normal Password

 

Outgoing settings

SMTP

Server hostname: yourcompany.zmailcloud.com*

*If you don't know your custom server hostname, please contact your Domain Administrator, or the help desk.

Port: 587

SSL: STARTTLS

Authentication: Normal Password

Username: your full zMailCloud email address

Once all of your settings are entered, click done.  You are now ready to use Thunderbird with your zMailCloud Account.
